The garden province of South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal straddles the
rolling hills stretching from the mighty Drakensberg Mountains to
the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Durban is South Africa's major
port and a holiday makers mecca with wide sandy beaches, the warm

The midlands and Zululand were the scene of many bloody battles between

of these fascinating historic and cultural sites.
Northern KwaZulu-Natal is the traditional home of the Zulu people and
is also big game country. Coastal conservation areas such as the St.
Lucia estuary, Cape Vidal and Sodwana encompass both wildlife areas and
the most southerly coastal coral reefs in the world.
Hluhluwe, Umfolozi, Mkuzi and Ndumo and the surrounding private reserves encompass an astonishing
array of wildlife and bird life.
