On this 105,000 acre Reserve, perched on top of an escarpment, with spectacular panoramic views is an opulent, luxurious and unrivalled celebration of the glory of the African bush. Pamushana is clearly one of the most exquisite safari lodges in Africa. Each of its six villas are spacious to the extreme, built with intricate hand-hewn stone work, exotic works of art and richly textured materials collected from all over Africa. The lavish décor used can only be described as sumptuous. Walls of sliding glass lead out from your bedroom onto a teak game viewing and leisure deck with private swimming pool and Swarovski telescope.

Other features of Pamushana are a gym, large swimming pool, comfortable lounge, library, and dining room with the most amazing mural and fabulous food. Best of all is the wine cellar, built to resemble the tower at Great Zimbabwe. The wine is stored in racks around the wall, with a central spiral staircase. The idea is that guests can spend time selecting whichever wine they fancy from a stock said to be close to 7000 bottles …bliss!

Guests can take day and night game drives, with walking safari trips also available. There is also a fascinating collection of bushman paintings on the reserve. Malilangwe, “call of the Leopard” in the local tribal language, also prides itself on having an amazing diversity of wildlife from Africa’s great game to painted hunting dogs, sable antelope and rhinos.
