Lusaka

Lusaka is the capital city and hub of Zambia. A large city in the central southern region of Zambia it the ideal city from which to access the country. Zambia is a spectacular slice of modern and ancient Africa. It is a land of warm and friendly people and spectacular scenery and wildlife. It is also unspoilt by large volumes of tourists and consequently its essential character is unchanged.

Lusaka is generally the start and end point of your trip to Zambia. Direct flights from Europe to Lusaka and via Nairobi and Johannesburg provide easy access to Zambia. Daily flights from Johannesburg to Lusaka and Victoria Falls provide easy regional access to the country. There are regular flights, both scheduled and charter that will link you within the region or to specific destinations such as North and South Luangwa, Victoria Falls, Kafue, Lower Zambezi National Park, Ndola and Kasaba Bay.

Lusaka has a few international hotel groups that accommodate guests before connecting to other safari regions. There are also a few reserves around Lusaka like Chaminuka that allow you to get that feel of the African bush veld as soon as you arrive.
