South Luangwa National Park

The Bushcamp Company operates four camps in the South Luangwa National Park. The four different bushcamps, all within walking distance of each other, allow you to choose whether to experience each bushcamp, walking through the park by day and camping at a new location each night, or to relax for the entire duration of your stay in the bushcamp of your choice. The bushcamps are the perfect compliment to the lodges of the South Luangwa by offering accommodation in a mix of tented and traditional bamboo reed camps. The bush camps are ideal for a true African wilderness experience and, being located in an area of the Park used almost exclusively for walking safaris, offer the perfect overnight stop for those wanting to get close to nature on foot.

The four camps, Bilimungwe Trails Camp, Chamilandu, Chindeni and Kuyenda are all semi permanent camps set up in the early winter months after the waters of the Luangwa have subsided allowing for easier access into the Bushcamp regions. Each location has been specifically chosen within spectacular African bushveld locations within the reserve. The accommodation and meals never cease to amaze in their simplicity and effectiveness within this wilderness environment.
