The South Luangwa National Park is dominated by the Luangwa River. Lagoons and sandbanks, riverine forests and open plains, host an abundance of wildlife and birds. Here lies a remote and intimate camp - Tena Tena. Robin Pope's first camp, it is situated overlooking a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River.

A grove of mahogany trees shade four large custom-made tents, each with an open-air bathroom to view the elephants feeding or the warthogs having a mud bath. Relaxed and informal, this is reflected in the superb home cooking and the flexible approach to game viewing. Tena Tena means 'temporary home' - and so it is.
