As the river drops at the end of the rainy season, it leaves isolated lagoons or dambos, drawing a tremendous quantity and variety of wildlife to the area. As the dambos dry these vast gatherings of wildlife concentrate along the river. The area is ideal for both vehicle as well as walking safaris.
