Situated in the spectacular Lower Zambezi National Park on the northern bank of the Zambezi River is Mwambashi Lodge. The area is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo, lion and leopard are common. The river is home to an abundant population of hippo and crocodile and an enormous variety of African wild animals and birdlife. The lower Zambezi valley is a spectacular wilderness area and forms the backdrop to a safari experience of outstanding quality and diversity.

Mwambashi Lodge accommodates a maximum of 16 guests in large walk-in safari tents on wooden platforms with en-suite bathroom facilities. The main lodge comprises a central dining area on a raised platform under thatch and an open balcony with spectacular views across the river. The lodge can be accessed by charter plane, road and boat transfers down the Zambezi River or by float plane which lands on the river at the lodge.

Activities at the lodge centre on the river and its environs and include canoeing, day and night game drives and walks in the national park, fishing, sundowner cruises and game viewing by boat on the Zambezi River.
